Student devices in need of repair

Please tell families to bring iPads, Chromebooks, and hotspots in need of repair to your school. Please leave a sticky note on the device that describes the problem. You no longer have to complete a ServiceNow ticket. Your campus Field Tech will occasionally come by to collect devices and take them to be repaired. If your inventory of devices runs low, principals or device managers can fill out this form to request more.

For iPads ONLY, please also email Chris Lastovica with the serial number of the iPad to un-assign it in the management system.

Computer Curbside

Please continue to reference bit.ly/aisdcomputercurbside for locations and times and check bit.ly/aisdcomputerwait for wait times and any service changes. iPads - Drop-off ONLY. Curbside has no iPads to issue to students. Chromebooks - Swap for families ONLY. Staff can no longer pick up Chromebooks for students. Teacher devices - Teachers, can drop off a broken staff device. If supplies are available, they can pick up a Chromebook to use while waiting for their staff device to be repaired.

NOTE:

Families should NOT call Crockett High School for information about Computer Curbside services. The Crockett front office is not available to field calls from families from other schools. Please tell them to drive through the Curbside location or call the Family Support line at 512-414-9187.

Staff devices in need of repair

Staff can create a ServiceNow ticket, and they will be contacted by the service provider (TIG) to meet at a nearby campus where TIG will perform the hardware repairs. ServiceNow tickets are for broken devices only. You will still need to contact the help-desk for software-related issues.

Chromebook Chargers

These are the chargers that match each device. We are working on a system that will provide spares to campuses. More information will be available soon. In the meantime, please make sure families triple-check the device they have and make sure the charger they are purchasing matches the model of Chromebook they have.

We anticipate release in early October. We will announce when it is ready to be used. In the meantime, please continue to use the Chromebook Delivery tile for issuing Chromebooks and recording returned Chromebooks and iPads.
