Good Evening Colt Families,
As we head into Week 3 of the school year, I want to begin by thanking everyone who joined us for Back-to-School Night last week. It was wonderful to see so many of our parents and families in the building, meeting teachers, visiting classrooms, and learning more about what your students will experience this year. We had a great turnout, and I hope we continue to see even more of our families on campus throughout the year. Your presence and partnership make a difference!
As students and teachers become more settled into their routines, there are still some schedule adjustments taking place. Last week was the deadline for students to submit schedule-change requests. Our counselors will continue reviewing those requests this week and providing updated schedules to students when changes can be accommodated.
Please remember that not every request will be possible due to class sizes, course availability, and staffing, but our counselors will do their best to address requests where possible. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these final beginning-of-year adjustments.
This week, we will also begin distributing lockers during COLT Time. We still have a significant number of lockers that require repair and are waiting for the final steps to be completed before our full locker system is operational. We will begin by assigning lockers to students who would like to use one. As we move forward, all students will eventually receive a designated locker so they have one available should they choose to use it. Additional information and expectations regarding locker use will be shared with students during COLT Time.
