Cell Phone Policy

Students are permitted to possess a personal cell phone; however, these devices must remain turned off/silent and out of sight during the instructional day. This includes passing periods, lunch time and outside recess, unless they are being used for specific instructional purposes under the direction and supervision of a teacher.

Cell phone use, not directly related to an instructional purpose or authorized by campus staff, will result in confiscation of the cell phone.

The first time a student’s cell phone is confiscated, the student will receive a warning and the cell phone will be returned at the end of the school day.

If a student’s cell phone has been confiscated more than once, the student will be required to pay $15.00 (cash or money order only) to retrieve the cell phone.

Cell phones are only released at to students at the end of the school day and can be picked up in the West office.
